Salman Khan indulges in daredevilry for soft drink ad.
It is touted to be Salman Khan's new actioner after Dabangg. The star has indulged in the daredevil adventure sport of wing suit flying in a commercial of his new endorsement for a soft drink.
The ad was recently shot at a remote location in the mountainous terrains of New Zealand. It was filmed by an international crew helmed by action-adventure film maker Bob Gordon. Sallu has done the stunts himself.
Says a unit source, "The only way to reach the shooting locale was by a helicopter. There were five of them on the sets that feature in the ad as well."
The makers claim that it is the actor's biggest ad production keeping in mind the ad's Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai campaign.
Adds the source, "The film has been mounted on a mega scale and the production budget exceeded over a million dollars."
The ad goes on air from February 25.

Salman in love with Brit model Hazel?

Though believed to have sworn to celibacy, as though determined never to let a girl distract him again, Salman Khan has surprised us.

The actor has recently found a female companion who he loves spending time with. Rumour has it that Sallu and British model Hazel are getting close to each other rather well. She took him out for a bike ride in Pune about two weeks ago, post which they spent a lot of quality time together. The weather in that city is such that you can't blame the two, but they have sure become the talk of town in Mumbai.

Salman and Hazel have been shooting together for Siddique Lal's Bodyguard for some time now but sparks flew in Pune only recently, they say. Before and after their shooting schedules, Salman and Hazel would spend a lot of free time with one another.

This comes as a surprise because Salman, whose reputation of having had an impressive line-up of girlfriends precedes him, reportedly wanted to concentrate only on his career post the success of Dabangg. In the past, he had close relationships with Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif.

He was briefly linked up with Mahek Chahal, Bruna Abdullah and more recently, Kangna Ranaut. But post his "brea-up" with Katrina, the actor chose to doggedly pursue his work and not allow women to distract him.

It seems Hazel is a cute exception to the rule however. Says a source, "Most new girls in the industry get quite intimidated by Salman, but Hazel has not shown any such signs. Salman and she hit it off like a house on fire. It now seems that they are more than just good friends."Hazel and Salman remained unavailable for comment.

Obviously, it was not without reason. Khan, who is known for his whacko and weird sense of humour, drove the actress to the edge. He made digs at her about working with Ranbir Kapoor, her favourite co-star Akshay Kumar and even her ability (or rather inability?) to speak Hindi. Though it was all in good fun, the pressure of being on national TV with her former flame, was just too much for the actress and she just snapped after a point. Says a source, "Before the shoot, things appeared extremely cool. When Farah and Katrina arrived on the sets, Sallu played the perfect host. They even indulged in a game of cricket at his chalet, near the Bigg Boss house. While Farah chose to be a spectator, Kat did a bit of batting while Salman bowled. Everything looked fine but once the cameras rolled, so did the host's witty remarks which were outright sarcastic." Adds the source, "As Farah stepped inside the Bigg Boss house, Kat was left alone on stage for a greater part of the show. At first, she played along but after a point she couldn't take his digs." She broke down and retreated to her make-up room. When she returned, the portions were re-shot. The offending parts were not aired. Farah maintains, "Katrina did not show that she was upset by Salman's comments at least not in front of me. I reached the sets late, so I don't know what happened before." Salman Khan has got the bags under his eyes 'fixed'. And we have the exclusive photographs Over the weekend, Salman Khan sported dark glasses on Bigg Boss throughout the one-hour duration of the show (on Friday and Saturday). There were murmurs about the actor getting surgery to fix the bags under his eyes. We decided to play the wait-and-watch game and see if he'd sport dark sunglasses when he walked the ramp the following day for his Being Human show. It paid off. Sallu came with a chashma on. He'd flown to Dubai last week, where he had the procedure done. A doctor from Singapore flew in especially for the Khan. After the show, our photographer Satyajit Desai (see box) clicked pictures of the actor without his shades. We'll let the pictures talk for themselves. What's that? As we grow older, a common, noticeable effect manifests itself through what we simply calls bags under our eyes. This happens because the protective coating of fat bordering our eyes begins to sag (blame gravity and our skin becoming less supple over the years). Sagging upper eyelids can be corrected through cosmetic eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty. This involves removing excess skin and pockets of fat from the upper and lower eyelids. Side-effects include bruising and swelling around the eyes and can last up to three weeks. Gerard did it, too In 2009, actor Gerard Butler made news for reportedly going under the knife for an under-eye surgery. He was spotted leaving an eye clinic wearing dark shades, sparking off speculation. Even though the actor's publicist refused to comment, sources confirmed that Gerard had gone for a quick touch-up to remove the baggy skin under his eyes. Aankhon dekha haal "Last night, when Salman walked the ramp with his glares on, there was a buzz that he had injured his eyes while shooting. Speculation was rife as he'd been seen with covered eyes for three days. Some felt that one of his dogs scratched his eye while playing. Another group was convinced that smoke from firecrackers hurt his eyes. I wanted to find out the truth so I started following Salman the moment the show got over. I found him sitting near his vanity van lying in a chair with ice on his eyes. His security asked me to stay away because Salman could get angry if I tried to take pictures but I just had to know why he was wearing glares. While some of the actresses like Rani, Sangeeta Bijlani, Priyanka, Bipasha, Katrina came to meet him, I took some pictures but it was when he was getting into his car that he took off his glares and I got these pictures."

Deepika Padukone debuted with SRK starrer ‘Om Shanti Om’ which was in a sort of proxy war with Salman Khan’s ‘Saawariya’ at the time of its release. As such, there was not much interaction between Sallu Bhai and Deepika. However, time and again, it was said that both the actors had expressed their desire to work with each other. Deepika had once said to BT, “Salman is one actor I’m looking forward to doing a film with.”

Now that gossip columns are going red with the rumors of Ranbir Kapoor seeing Salman’s girl Katrina Kaif, Salman seems to be more eager than ever to work with Ranbir’s ex-flame Deepika Padukone. Trade sources say that director Anees Bazmee will cast the two as the leading pair in his next project. Where Deepika said that she is unaware of these reports, sources close to Salman say that this is a definite and immediate possibility because “Bhai wants to do a movie with Deepika.”

Whether the two will get an opportunity to display sparking on-screen chemistry, only time will tell.
